Parenting Plans

A Parenting Plan is the template of how to raise the child(ren) when two people have decided to no longer live together. It can be very simple, just laying out a basic timeshare schedule or it can be very specific and call out holiday schedules, vacations timeshare, pick ups and drops offs, communication, medical care, etc... My preference in designing Parenting Plans are to make them VERY specific. I believe that it is easier for parents to be flexible the parenting plan and make changes when things are going well but harder to negotiate when things are not. In making the Parenting Plan very specific, you have a guide to follow should things veer off track.

Parenting Plans can be Mediated, ordered as part of the Co-Parenting Plan or recommended in the course of a Child Custody Evaluation or Brief Focused Assessment.
