Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a unique relationship that happens between the therapist and client. No single approach is right for everyone. Although I typically work from a Psychodynamic approach, I am open to seeing the needs for different approaches, for different people and situations. From my experience, many of the problems that people struggle with repeatedly are based in past experiences which have created conflict within the person. Most of us want to change the way we interact, react or behave when it is not productive but often times do not understand what drives us to behave in the manner that we do and we don't have alternatives to the current behavior. Therapy and the therapeutic relationship can help you begin to understand why you choose what you do, behave the way you do, react the way you do. This awareness is the first step to bringing about change.
